3rd Party Facilitator
Transportation project delivery usually gets bogged down in technical "details" and thus TTG focuses on solving those detailed issues as soon as possibly. TTG acts as a project delivery advocate, representing the local (public or private) entities goals and expectations by facilitating and "driving" the process with all necessary coordination with the public and private stakeholders involved and with special focus on Caltrans District and Caltrans Headquarters management and even the state Director if necessary. TTG works to eliminate or reduce the unnecessary "process steps" and bureaucratic obstacles that often prevent or delay a project's progression.
David Tait Background
David Tait has not only a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil/Transportation engineering with extensive experience in planning, engineering, and implementation, but he also has technical sales and marketing experience. As such, he brings a unique set of skills to the project advocacy role. Much of this role involves "selling" to address the project delivery challenges and David Tait shines in this capacity. Mr. Tait previously worked for a consulting and lobbying firm in Sacramento supporting Will Kempton, then partner at the firm and previous Director of Caltrans, for almost five years on numerous transportation issues and projects.
Budget and Schedules Really Matter
TTG helps clients maintain or reduce their project timing and budget risks by driving the implementation process so construction can start ahead of or as close to the original target dates as possible. Because time is money, The Tait Group works to ensure that every project issue is being addressed in a timely manner so as to meet the clients implementation goals.
Relationships at all levels
Building and maintaining working relationships with all the stakeholders involved, at the staff and management levels, is an important aspect of TTG’s consulting/advocacy services and one of the reasons the firm is unique and successful at delivering transportation projects and solving complicated issues.
